The Class Parent Network helps draw parents more fully into the school community of St Cecilia’s. Its purpose is to promote a co-operative atmosphere between parents and teachers, ensuring a supportive working partnership for the benefit of all our children.
Class parents are established at the beginning of each school year and their primary role is to be a support person for the class teacher, parents and new families to the class.
Class parents often organise events during the holidays to encourage students to socialise within one another outside of school as well as provide parents with an opportunity to enjoy each others company in an informal setting.
In Year 6, the class parent has a significant role in helping to organise the Year 6 Graduation and this provides a fantastic opportunity for parents to be involved in their child’s final farewell from primary school.
If you are interested in becoming a class parent, you will be given the opportunity to express you interest at the beginning of each school year.
